We Do This Every Four Years

April 4, 2016

With March madness pouring in on us from all sides (did your brackets collapse as fast as mine did?), with the summer Olympics gearing up, gardens demanding attention, and (most important) spring youth league sports getting started, we still spend large chunks of our time and attention on this marathon race for the White House 2016.

First, let’s recap:

FEB 1 IOWA CAUCUSES

Primary season kicks off in Iowa...with caucuses.  Whoever comes out on top will get lots of attention ahead of the other primaries.  Democratic: Clinton 49.9%, Sanders 49.6%, O’Malley .6%   Republican: Cruz 27.6%, Trump 24.3%, Rubio 23.1%, Carson 9.3%, Paul 4.5%, Bush 2.8%, Fiorina 1.9%, Kasich 1.9%, Huckabee 1.8%, Christie 1.8%, Santorum 1%.

FEB 6  REPUBLICAN DEBATE

It’s the GOP’s final face-off before the New Hampshire primary. The ones who didn’t get any Iowa love will be desperate to make a big impression.  Participants: Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio, Dr. Ben Carson, former Gov. Jeb Bush, Gov. Chris Christie and Gov. John Kasich.]
