Lauren Smith
Lauren Kennedy Smith joined BeachleySmithLaw PLLC in fall 2021 to manage the firm’s probate practice. Lauren recognizes probate matters can put a strain on family relationships after a loved one’s passing and is committed to offering compassion, support, and the highest quality of advocacy to each client.
A sixth-generation Texan, Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and a Business Foundations certificate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. In 2009, Lauren attended St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where she received her Juris Doctorate. Her greatest achievement while in law school was working in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she helped asylum seekers, domestic crime victims and their families achieve legal status in the United States.
In addition to her probate practice, Lauren represents clients through the Tarrant County Bar Association and Legal Aid of North West Texas; serves on the board of directors and as fundraising director for Friends of Oakhurst Park; and is an active parent volunteer at her child’s school. Lauren and her husband, Clayton, have one son and live in the historic Oakhurst neighborhood of Fort Worth. They enjoy traveling, camping, boating, and playing tennis.
